Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Wisconsin is seeking Patient Care Assistants to support nursing staff across several inpatient units. This role aligns with CNA experience and involves direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision.

Float pool assignments include Medical Surgical, Telemetry/Progressive Care, Neuro/Peds/Trauma, and Wishart 2, with rotating 8- or 12-hour shifts. Must be at least 18, have CNA-related training or 12 college credits, and maintain Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.
• Completion of 12 college credits -OR- High school diploma/ GED with successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training or equivalent preferred.
• Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care.
• Carry out delegated skills within legal scope for unlicensed nursing personnel.
• Work across multiple hospital departments in the float pool and in specific units such as Medical Surgical and Telemetry/Progressive Care.
