Job summary

Knox Community Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Assistant for the Medical Floor in Mount Vernon, Ohio. You will support direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, ensuring age-appropriate, safe care and timely documentation.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, may include high school or trade students, and prefer CNA or MA certification with current BLS. CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA or MA preferred.
• Current AHA BLS CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers direct/indirect patient care to patients of all ages under the supervision of a registered nurse and/or licensed practical nurse.
• Demonstrates critical thinking to assure the delivery of safe, quality age-specific care.
• Documents accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicates and collaborates with other healthcare team members.
