Job summary

SCA Health in Farmington Hills, MI is seeking a patient care assistant to support post-operative patients and help with transfers and ambulation. You will assist in pushing/pulling patients in wheelchairs and help maintain a clean, safe environment.

Post-operative snacks and hydration are provided as directed, with adherence to policies. The role requires a minimum high school diploma and at least one year of clinical work experience, with lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of successful work experience is desirable, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Work requires some pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in transferring/ambulation.
• Push-pull patients in wheelchairs.
• Assist in maintaining a healthful and safe environment.
• Provide post-operative snacks/drinks to patients as directed.
• Clean patient bays following proper policy and procedures.
• Clean any equipment as directed following manufacturer’s instructions.
• Participates in any in-service/education as required.
