Visiting Angels Sumter, SC is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support local seniors in Darlington, Sumter, Columbia, Hartsville and surrounding areas.

The PCA will help with light housekeeping, meals, mobility, transportation, personal care and companionship, with opportunities for training in dementia or Alzheimer's care; flexible shifts and a supportive local team are offered. This role emphasizes compassion, reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients.
• Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties and be a pleasant companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
