Job summary

Visiting Angels Edmond is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support seniors in the Edmond and Oklahoma City metro area. You will provide compassionate in-home care, assist with mobility, personal care, meals, and daily activities, while offering companionship.

We value reliable, empathetic caregivers with strong communication, safety awareness, and a high school diploma. Training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care is available to help you grow professionally in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong ethics and compassionate nature.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Good time management and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
