Visiting Angels Lawton, OK is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support seniors and others in Lawton and nearby areas. Responsibilities include direct care, mobility assistance, meal planning, and light housekeeping, with opportunities for advanced training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care.

The role emphasizes compassionate companionship, safety, and personal growth within a local caregiving team that serves Altus, Snyder, Cache, Lawton, and surrounding towns.

Qualifications

• Must have a passion to serve others and be a compassionate caregiver.
• Strong knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Ability to perform housekeeping and cooking with dietary awareness.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Covid vaccination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients when possible.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
