Job summary

Atlantic Health in New Jersey is seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to work with physicians and nurses to deliver advanced primary and specialty nursing services. You will support patients through activities of daily living, bathing, meals, transportation, and positioning, while maintaining a caring, collaborative attitude.

You will take vital signs, assist with basic treatments, restock supplies, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for patients and families during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supports nursing personnel in providing direct patient care and assists patients with daily activities of living.
• Serves and collects food trays and provides between meal nourishment.
• Changes bed linen, runs errands and prepares and sterilizes treatment trays and supplies.
• Measures and records patients' vital signs such as temperature or pulse, meal intake and provides basic treatment.
• Ensures a safe care environment for the patients and their families.
• Performs continuous rounds and check-ins throughout the shift to ensure patient and family needs are met.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
