Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide patient care, assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, and support mobility and transport within a 12-hour shift schedule. The role includes documentation, phlebotomy, EKGs, and adherence to safety protocols while working closely with registered nurses.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, and at least six months of CNA experience or current enrollment in an LPN/RN program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of Nursing Assistant/Health Aid experience or current enrollment in LPN/RN program preferred.
• AHA Heartsaver AED certification; non-licensed must obtain before end of orientation period.
• Proficient in English, verbal and written communication.
• Capital Health UAP Training completed within 90 days of employment.
• Usual Work Day: 12 Hours.

Responsibilities

• Performs supportive patient care duties including ADLs, hygiene, vital signs, and documentation.
• Performs phlebotomy, glucometer testing, EKGs, and assists with mobility and positioning.
• Transports patients, medications, supplies, and specimens as requested.
• Documents observations and activities and reports findings to the RN.
• Maintains supplies and adheres to safety policies and procedures.
