Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have completed or hold a nurse aide course or equivalent.
• Current CNA registry or similar certification required.
• Medical assistant training or certification acceptable.
• Nursing student enrolled with basic nursing fundamentals documentation.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program is preferred.
• Parkland's job-specific training program is recognized.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic hygiene care and unsterile treatments under RN supervision.
• Take vital signs and assist with mobility and feeding.
• Advocate for patients and maintain confidentiality and rights.
• Document activities, vitals, ambulation, and outcomes.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient environment and equipment.
• Assist with patient transportation and translation services when needed.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional growth.
