Job summary

Baptist Health System is seeking a patient care support role to assist nurses and deliver compassionate basic nursing care under RN supervision across multiple units. The position may qualify for a sign-on bonus and requires a High School diploma with Basic Life Support certification.

You'll work in General Nursing Units, Maternal Child, Nursery, Pediatric, GI Lab, and Emergency/Surgical Services, supporting patient comfort, safety, and timely care.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent.
• PREFERRED EDUCATION: Satisfactorily completed a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic or Medical Assisting course.
• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 6 months in healthcare industry and/or knowledge of basic medical terms and procedures.
• REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): BLS through approved American Heart Association Training Center or equivalent; Non-Violent Crisis Intervention obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer to position.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction/supervision of an RN, provides basic nursing care for assigned group of patients.
• General Nursing Units cares for patients from age 15 years to maturity by clinically competent nursing staff.
• Maternal Child Units: Labor and Delivery care includes patients who have a pregnancy related condition by staff who are clinically competent in maternity care.
