R1 RCM Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Patient Access Representative for a PRN, part-time role (as needed) at Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital. You will be the first point of contact, ensuring fast, compassionate access to care while registering patients across multiple systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Background check, drug test, and vaccination requirements must be met.
• Healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience with patient access, medical registration, or insurance verification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families during check-in across multiple systems.
• Answer phones and collect accurate patient information quickly.
• Help ensure timely access to care by minimizing registration delays.
• Build trust with patients who may be ill or anxious.
• Navigate insurance plans, enter demographics, collect co-pays, and provide cost estimates.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
