Job summary

Preston House is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to provide daily resident care and assistance with activities of daily living in our residents' home. The ideal candidate brings compassion and a patient-centered approach on 2nd shift, part-time.

Qualifications

• Passion for the senior population.
• High School diploma or GED.
• State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.
• Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association) preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to think and work independently, with direction from a team leader or manager.
• Excellent oral communication with health professionals.
• Ability to handle high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a positive working relationship with residents, family members and staff.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents' information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Assist with daily living activities to ensure patient care, including turning and ambulating patients and delivering meals.
• Help patients with personal hygiene, including bedpans and bathing assistance.
• Provide adjunct patient care as needed, such as applying ice packs or dressings after therapy sessions.
• Monitor and record food intake and urinary/fecal output for medical staff.
• Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and nurses as needed.
• Follow infection control precautions and safety procedures.
• Report all safety violations and participate in fire/emergency processes.
