Job summary

Legacy Health in Portland, Oregon is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support outpatient operations under supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist. You will enter prescriptions, prepare medications, assist customers at the register, and coordinate with insurers to resolve billing issues.

Must have or be in process of Pharmacy Technician licensure; prior pharmacy experience or technician program is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician license required prior to date of hire.
• Prior pharmacy technician experience or technician program preferred.
• Ability to navigate electronic systems and enter prescriptions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Support outpatient pharmacy operations under supervision.
• Receive prescription requests and enter them into the computer.
• Prepare medications for dispensing following protocols.
• Assist customers at the cash register and provide friendly service.
• Collaborate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues.
• Communicate with physicians' offices to clarify prescription details.
• Maintain inventory and profile prescriptions for accuracy.
