Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of North Alabama is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide direct patient care and participate in comprehensive patient assessments and treatment planning at our inpatient rehabilitation facility.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, development of individualized care plans, and ongoing patient education to support successful recoveries and meaningful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CPR certification.
• Master‘s Degree preferred, or Bachelor‘s Degree plus sufficient experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients in need of occupational therapy.
• Guiding patients by supervising care and treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and targeting and resolving patient concerns.
• Building meaningful relationships with patients by dedicating time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs for a successful recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
