Job summary

Piedmont Cancer Institute is seeking a Clinical Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care for hematology and oncology patients in our infusion and triage areas. The role requires an active GA RN license, BLS, and preferably oncology experience.

Travel to PCI locations may be required, with emphasis on safety and patient education. Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy/immunotherapy, monitoring patients, documenting care in the EHR, and providing psychosocial support while

Qualifications

• Active GA RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Oncology RN experience preferred but not required.
• ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy provider course certification preferred.
• Proficiency in central venous access and venipuncture preferred.
• Knowledge of RN theory and practice for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for hematology and oncology patients.
• Perform venipuncture and manage vascular access devices.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other medications per orders.
• Document all patient interventions in real time in the EHR.
• Educate patients and families on plan of care and treatments.
• Travel to other PCI locations as needed.
