Job summary

This position is located at the Juneau Pioneer Home, an Eden Alternative assisted living facility in Juneau, Alaska. The on-call, part-time role supports our elder residents with person-centered care in a safe environment for up to 49 residents.

You will work as part of a team of nursing and direct care staff, assisting with daily living activities and participating in programs that foster well-being and social connection among residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Physically capable of standing, walking, lifting, bending, and pushing.
• Two (2) professional references and three (3) character references with current contact information.
• Background check and fingerprinting may be required prior to employment.
• Possession of Alaska Driver’s License and ability to obtain passes may be required for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality personal care to assisted living residents per the resident's plan.
• Assist residents with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transportation in and out of bed, wheelchairs, baths, lifts, and with walkers/canes.
• Support programs that promote physical well-being and meaningful social interaction with residents, families, and staff.
