Job summary

Cone Health is seeking a Nursing Technician to support the Registered Nurse by observing and documenting patient conditions and by assisting with mobility and daily tasks. Under supervision, you will help provide comfortable care and maintain a safe environment while contributing to the plan of care.

The role requires completion of a high school diploma or equivalent and state nurse aide certification with CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• Supports patients with meals, personal care and progressive mobility to aid recovery.
• Monitors nutrition, hydration, and elimination to plan resource use and anticipate needs.
• Admits, transfers, and discharges patients per the plan of care.
• Assists with clinical procedures: glucose checks, vital signs, EKGs, restraints, and elimination needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily living tasks and mobility support to aid recovery.
• Documents patient observations and procedures to maintain history.
• Responds to nurse delegation and communicates observations for team care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
