Gentle Care Strategies in Vincennes, IN is seeking a dedicated cleaning associate to maintain the cleanliness and order of the nursing home environment. You will be responsible for cleaning resident rooms, corridors, and common areas according to facility standards and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Portray a positive company image and engage in professional and friendly communications with all clients and prospects
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, cafeteria and other work areas in accordance with Company specifications
• Change resident bedding as needed or as instructed by nursing staff
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or other related appliances
• Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash and waste in designated areas
• Provides excellent customer service
• Performs other duties, as assigned
• Completes work assignments in a timely manner
• Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
• Reports safety hazards as appropriate
• Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area
• Replenishes supplies
• Follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques, Standard Precautions and isolation precautions
• Observes safety precautions at all times
