Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Attendant to provide compassionate, patient-centered care at the bedside. Under RN supervision, you will monitor vitals, assist with meals, and help with safe patient transport, contributing to a fast-paced but supportive environment.

Qualified candidates are current BSN students with clinical rotations or prior CNA/nursing attendant experience, plus CPR certification.

Qualifications

• BSN student enrolled and completed at least one clinical rotation or have CNA/nursing attendant experience with certification through an approved CNA training program.
• Experience as certified nurses aide or nursing attendant is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current CPR training from the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration and other vitals.
• Deliver meals and provide safe patient transport.
• Provide compassionate patient care and comfort under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment for patients and families.
