Job summary

The Mississippi Department of Employment Security is seeking dedicated nursing staff to provide direct resident care under supervision of licensed nurses. The role emphasizes maintaining a safe, respectful environment for residents and supporting daily living activities.

Qualified candidates should hold CNA certification and be able to perform ADLs, take vital signs, and assist with meals, mobility and restorative tasks in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Must be currently certified and in good standing in the state where the facility is located.
• C.N.A. must maintain at least twelve (12) in-service training hours per year.
• Ability to read and follow resident care plans and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care and activities of daily living (A.D.L.).
• Assist with range of motion, turning, positioning, ambulation and use of assistive devices.
• Assist with resident recreation programs and meals; document intake and fluids.
• Monitor and document vital signs, height and weight as required.
• Support in dining room, environment maintenance, and linen changes.
• Read and follow the resident A.D.L. care plan and restorative procedures.
• Report changes in resident condition to the charge nurse.
