Job summary

The Cincinnati VA Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the nursing team on rotating day, evening and/or night shifts. Qualifications

• Six months of general experience related to NA work.
• One year of education above high school with courses related to NA.
• Completion of an intensive occupation-related training course meeting NA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to the RN.
• Maintain patient safety and environmental hygiene.
• Support a multidisciplinary care team in a hospital setting.
