Job summary

Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital in Mooresville, NC seeks a Nursing Assistant I to support patient care under RN/LPN supervision. You will help with basic patient care, documentation in EMR, vital signs, and coordination of care with the nursing team.

Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, assisting with admissions/discharges, and maintaining a clean, safe patient environment in a 123-bed facility. Relocation assistance may apply for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Requires nursing assistant competencies under RN/LPN supervision.
• Relevant clinical care and patient comfort knowledge.
• Proficiency with basic health care documentation in EMR.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Record patient data for medical records.
• Administer personal care procedures (feeding, bathing, etc.).
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transportation.
• Take and record vital signs.
• Acknowledge orders in EMR and input orders as directed.
• Prepare and upload charts in EMR.
• Maintain patient and family environment.
• Document and communicate pertinent information.
• May perform wound dressing change.
• Follow standard precautions and use PPE.
• Stock and replenish supplies and equipment.
