Job summary

Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) seeks a Certified Nurse Aide to provide direct patient care in a hospital setting within Kentucky. You will perform basic nursing duties, assist with activities of daily living, and ensure safety and comfort for patients under supervision.

Requires a Kentucky CNA license or eligibility, good communication, and the ability to lift and assist patients. Hospital experience is preferred, and duties include documentation and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Certified Nurse Aide in Kentucky.
• Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately.
• Basic computer knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to move or lift patients and equipment.
• Ability to work independently within general guidelines.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and written.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examination and treatment; provides personal care and essential needs.
• Answers all signal lights and bells promptly to determine and meet patient needs.
• Collects specimens and vital signs; records information per hospital policy.
• Assists in ambulation, transfers, and daily activities as needed.
• Maintains a safe environment and restocks supplies and equipment.
• Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients.
• Participates in team conferences and in-service education.
