Penn Medicine is seeking a Nursing Assistant to assist nurses in delivering care and to support the Medical Center's mission of high-quality health services. The role emphasizes patient dignity, safety, and efficient use of resources, with daily duties aligned to the nursing process and hospital procedures.

You'll work on a patient-care unit, maintain equipment and supplies, and participate in maintaining a clean, organized environment while upholding patient rights and confidentiality.

Competenze

• Basic Life Support (Required)
• Basic Life Saving certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
• H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
• Education Specialization: Nursing Assistant Course—Successful completion of hospital onsite course during first two weeks of orientation and prior to patient care assignment.

• Displays a caring and responsive attitude and represents the Medical Center in a positive manner and conducts all activities respecting patient/customer rights and expectations.
• Makes observations of patient condition and reports and documents information as requested. Has good communication skills with patients/families and co-workers.
• Performs and documents nursing care activities as assigned.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skill specific to a nursing assistant in the area of assignment (e.g. patient hygiene, vital signs, urine outputs).
• Participates in keeping the unit clean and organized and assists with supplies.
