Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant in Anchorage, Alaska. This part-time position offers 12-hour shifts (2 per week) with day or night options, under direct supervision to support bedside care and maintain a safe, clean environment.

Required: Medical Terminology coursework or hospital terminology test within 90 days, plus BLS within 30 days of hire. Preferred: CNA training and 6 months healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Coursework/Training Medical Terminology course Or Successful completion of hospital Medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family and providers in the department in completion of the duties delegated to them for the shift.
• Maintain clear communication between the needs of the patient through the RN and Charge Nurse.
• Support the bedside RN and charge nurse to deliver patient-focused care.
