Cascadia of Lewiston is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support residents in a long-term care setting. The role emphasizes compassionate care, assisting CNAs, responding to nurse calls, helping with grooming, feeding, and mobility under supervision.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, complete a state-approved CNA program within 120 days, and may be enrolled in a nursing program. At least six months in long-term care preferred; on-the-job training included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
• Complete 16 hours of classroom education and skills checks for clinical areas.

Responsabilités

• Assists CNAs in day-to-day functions.
• Answers nurse call system to determine resident needs.
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding.
• Assists residents with range of motion exercises and mobility to wheelchair or activity areas.
• Assists residents with turning and positioning in bed.
• Documents services provided.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows codes of conduct.
