Job summary

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required and non-citizens may be appointed when permitted.
• Six months of general experience or equivalent education/training.
• English language proficiency per 38 U.S.C. 7402(d).
• GS-03 to GS-05 grade levels with KSAs demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection following policies.
• Accession, manifest, and prepare specimens for transport to the main facility laboratory.
• Provide and complete plan of care orders within scope and demonstrated competency.
• Maintain patient privacy and dignity during nursing tasks and specimen collection.
• Monitor weights, vitals, and record results in the medical record; report deviations.
