Job summary

MarinHealth is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care on a dynamic unit. You will assist with hygiene, daily living activities, and vital signs, while helping with transfers and basic respiratory therapies. A CNA is required at hire, with BLS and IAMTAC training completed within 30 days.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential for patient safety. Role supports the care team on a 12-hour shift (days) with a 36-hour weekly schedule in the United States.

Qualifications

• CNA required at hire.
• BLS required at hire.
• IAMTAC required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to read, speak, write clearly in English.
• Ability to establish priorities and follow through on tasks.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, visitors, physicians and staff.
• Able to learn current in-house computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Obtains, records, and reports vital signs and patient data.
• Provides hygiene, ADL, comfort and safety measures.
• Assists with positioning, ambulation, and transfers.
• Assists with simple respiratory therapy treatments and bedside EKGs.
• May perform clerical support functions at the nursing station.
• Transports patients and passes meal trays.
• Maintains equipment and assists with treatments and procedures.
