Job summary

America West Medical Transportation in San Francisco is seeking a courteous NEMT Driver to deliver excellent customer service. You will assist clients getting in and out of the vehicle and provide a through-the-door service, while performing pre-trip inspections and safely transporting clients to destinations.

Applicants should have a valid state driver’s license (CDL or non-CDL), a clean driving record, and familiarity with the local area.

Qualifications

High school graduate or GED is preferred but not required.
Valid CPR/First Aid card is preferred but not required.
License: Valid state driver’s license or CDL required.
Knowledge and experience: Experience driving corporate clients and paratransit vehicles is a plus.
Must have a valid state driver’s license for posted job location for at least three years preferred, with limited moving violations or at-fault accidents in last 3 years.
Applicants must be familiar with using cellular phones and navigating with GPS.
Experience working with elderly population is a plus.
Physical certifications: Non-DOT Physical, Drug, TB, and Breath Alcohol tests.
Acceptable background screens including criminal checks and drug/alcohol screening.
Valid authorization to work in the U.S.
Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred.
Open to CDL and non-CDL drivers.

Responsibilities

Perform pre-inspection checks on vehicles and store items securely.
Drive clients to and from destinations in a safe manner.
Assist clients getting in and out of the vehicle and provide a through-the-door service.
