Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• American Heart Association Health Care Provider (BLS) certification required.
• Complete Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) requirements within first month of employment.
• Preferred - Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA).

Responsibilities

• Provides and ensures physical needs are met for all patients by assisting with activities of daily living (ADL).
• Conducts and participates in therapeutic milieu activities for patients under clinical staff guidance.
• Participates as a team member in improving quality care standards for the unit.
• Complies with JCAHO National Patient Safety Goals.
• Adapts behavior to the patient population and maintains patient privacy.
• Performs other related duties as required.
