Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT is seeking a Mental Health Worker (MHW) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or physician. The role involves assisting with activities of daily living, meal support, and 1:1 observation as required by medical orders.

You will help with admissions, transfers and safety rounds, ensuring patient comfort and safety across age groups. Qualifications include a high school diploma, 1 year psychiatric experience preferred, and BLS certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a psychiatric setting preferred; CNA experience preferred.
• BLS Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred CT/MA/NY CNA Certification.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or physician.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Assist with admissions, discharge and transfers.
• Perform hourly rounds and safety checks; respond to call lights.
• Support feeding, meal setup and nutrition assistance.
• Maintain infection control and sterile techniques and document observations.
• Communicate patient needs and changes to the nursing team.
