Job summary

Home Instead - Columbia, MO is seeking dependable caregivers to support seniors in the Columbia area, providing personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily activities. Immediate openings with flexible scheduling include overnight and weekend shifts to meet client needs and caregiver compatibility.

Caregivers will assist clients living at home, including those with Alzheimer’s or dementia, delivering comfort, stability, and respectful care.

Qualifications

• Professional caregiving experience required.
• Strong Alzheimer’s and dementia care experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Must be available to work at least one weekend shift each week.
• Overnight availability required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Support safe transfers, walking, and mobility.
• Provide overnight supervision and redirection as needed.
• Assist with toileting and nighttime routines.
• Offer companionship and meaningful engagement.
• Prepare meals and follow recipes.
• Complete light housekeeping and laundry.
• Encourage walking, exercise, and outdoor time.
• Support community outings and client activities.
• Observe and communicate changes to the office.
• Arrive on time and reliably fulfill scheduled shifts.
