Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is hiring a Medication Assistant for Memory Care on a part-time basis. You will maintain, order, and assist residents with their medication needs, documenting in the Medication Assistance Record, and supporting residents with daily activities as needed.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, vital signs, and coordinating with health care professionals. A calm, respectful demeanor and experience with elderly residents are valued; CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

• AZ Caregiver Certification is required.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• All state educational requirements for the position must be met.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.
• Experience with dementia patients is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, order, and assist residents with medication needs.
• Transcribe and document in the Medication Assistance Record.
• Assist residents in ADLs and potentially Memory Care, with vital signs and basic care.
• Report changes in resident physical or mental state to leadership.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls and resident or visitor requests in a timely, safe manner.
