Job summary

Iris Memory Care of Turtle Creek is seeking a dependable Cook to join our team in a part-time, as-needed role in Dallas, TX. Weekend availability is required.

You will prepare and serve meals for residents with dementia, ensuring quality, safety, and timely service. Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen sanitation, following menus with guidance from the dietician, and coordinating with care staff on residents' food needs.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of similar food service experience preferred.
• Weekend availability required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 35 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to residents within scheduled times, with attention to quality and presentation.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and proper food storage.
• Follow established menus and adjust recipes with guidance from the dietician to meet nutritional needs.
• Inspect food for quality, temperature, and appearance; offer substitutions as needed.
• Maintain meal service records and required documentation.
