Job summary

Oakmont of East Sacramento, a premier senior living community managed by Oakmont Management Group, seeks a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in medication administration and provide direct personal care for residents on-site. You will collaborate with housekeepers, maintenance, and nursing staff to support individualized care plans.

The role requires at least 1 year of RCFE medication experience when possible, a high school diploma (LVN a plus), and strong written/verbal

Qualifications

• One year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) preferred.
• Completion of state training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Effective written and verbal communication with staff, physicians, residents, and families.
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (TB, etc.).
• Vaccination/testing may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate, confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with staff.
