Shelby Manor is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to join our team. This role focuses on safe medication administration, health monitoring, and supporting the nursing staff in delivering high-quality care to residents.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, active Medication Aide certification, and at least 1 year of healthcare experience. On-the-job training and ongoing professional development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare, senior living, or long-term care preferred.
• Active Medication Aide certification in good standing with the state.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: Prepare, administer, and document medications per orders and protocols.
• Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in residents' health status; record vital signs as needed.
• Resident Engagement: Build positive relationships and encourage participation in wellness programs.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow infection control procedures and maintain organized medication records and supplies.
