Job summary

East Towne is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to join our team in Charlotte, NC. You will safely administer medications, monitor residents’ health, and support the nursing staff in delivering high‑quality care with compassion and accuracy. Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork are essential to ensure resident safety.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in healthcare, a high school diploma or GED, and active Medication Aide certification. CPR/First Aid is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Medication Aide training preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of healthcare, senior living, or long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills; compassionate, patient care.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: prepare, administer, and document meds per orders and protocols.
• Health Monitoring: observe and report changes, measure vitals, assist with basic care under supervision.
• Resident Engagement: build relationships and encourage participation in wellness activities.
• Safety & Compliance: follow infection control, keep carts and records organized, respond to emergencies.
