The role requires attention to detail, reliable teamwork, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Ideal candidates hold an active Medication Aide certification and a high school diploma, with CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare, senior living, or long-term care is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: prepare, administer, and document medications per physician orders and protocols.
• Health Monitoring: observe and report changes in residents' health status; measure vital signs as needed.
• Resident Engagement: build positive relationships and encourage participation in wellness activities.
• Safety & Compliance: follow infection control procedures; maintain organized, secure medication carts and records; respond to emergencies.
