Job summary

Edenton House in Edenton, NC is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to administer medications safely, monitor residents’ health, and support the nursing team with high-quality care.

You will follow physician orders, document administrations, maintain records, and participate in wellness activities while adhering to infection control and safety regulations. This role requires attention to detail, good communication, physical stamina, and a state-certified Medication Aide credential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare/senior living experience preferred.
• Active Medication Aide certification in good standing with the state.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: accurately prepare, administer, and document medications per orders and protocols.
• Health Monitoring: observe and report changes in residents’ health status; measure vitals as needed.
• Resident Engagement: build positive relationships and encourage participation in wellness activities.
• Safety & Compliance: follow infection control procedures and maintain organized, secure medication records.
