Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Patient Care Associate for the 5 E Medical/Surgical Tele unit. Under the direct supervision of a nurse, you will participate in day-to-day patient care activities and contribute to a patient-centered environment designed to support well-being during daytime hours 7:00am–7:30pm.

Required is a high school diploma and completion of a Nurse Assistant Certification program; BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross is

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a Nurse Assistant Certification program or equivalent.
• BLS certification by American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for daily activities and personal hygiene (bathing, feeding, dressing, mobility).
• Ensures compliance with health care regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment and follows infection-control policies.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
