Job summary

Community Forward SF is seeking a Medical Respite Driver located in San Francisco to provide safe transportation for patients/clients of the Medical Respite Program. This role involves assisting patients with daily living activities and maintaining vehicle cleanliness while upholding excellent communication with service providers.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, a valid California Driver’s License, and one year of driving experience. Knowledge of healthcare and homelessness is preferred, and the position offers a gross hourly wage of $25.32.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience driving a commercial passenger vehicle.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and TB clearance required within 7 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients/clients to and from appointments and essential services.
• Assist patients/clients in boarding and navigating.
• Maintain daily logs of client contacts and transport records.

Skills

Driving commercial passenger vehicles

Good communication skills

Ability to assist mobility-impaired patients

Knowledge of homelessness and healthcare

Education

High school diploma or G.E.D.
