Job summary

MaineHealth Primary Care - Damariscotta is hiring a Medical Assistant to join the clinical team in a full-time 36-hour weekly role. The MA will support patient care and contribute to a safe, efficient, patient-centered workflow. Sign-on bonuses are offered: $4,000 for 0-1 years of experience and $5,000 for 1+ years, with prorating for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED with MA program completion and 160 hours clinical experience
• Licenses/Certifications: BLS required within 30 days; MA certs preferred
• Experience: Relevant Medical Assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Support the clinical team with patient care in a safe, patient-centered, efficient workflow.
• Perform typical medical assistant duties as part of the care delivery team.

Education

High School diploma or GED plus MA program/160 hours clinical experience

MA certification/licensure preferred or required within 30 days of start

1 year clinical experience in a practice setting (equivalent evaluated)
