Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patients and the clinical team. You will proactively prepare patient charts and ensure information is up-to-date for on-site visits.

You will perform basic labs and phlebotomy, draw blood, run EKGs, assist with exams, document visits in the electronic medical record, manage supplies, and help schedule referrals to other providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant certification program or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Certification in WA.
• Basic Life Support - CPR.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients; record vital signs; assist with examinations.
• Perform basic lab work, phlebotomy, draw blood, and EKGs; assist with medications.
• Document visits in the electronic medical record per procedures.
• Review medical documentation for accuracy and consistency.
• Prepare, sterilize instruments; maintain clean, stocked exam rooms.
• Schedule appointments and referrals to other providers.
