Job summary

BrightView Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care by following established treatment program policies and procedures. You will apply your medical skills for planning, assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patient needs, and perform laboratory procedures under supervision according to best practices.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior medical assistant experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Facilitate timely and efficient patient flow for the duration of their visit.
• Perform administrative duties to support patient flow as assigned.
• Prepare specimens for shipping.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of laboratory supplies and a sanitary, organized work environment.
• Provide input on overall treatment philosophy, treatment services, and patient care.
• Communicate with various teams regarding patient appointments.
• Attend required meetings/huddles and collaboration within center team.
• Consult team members on lab testing, results, and patient issues.
• Ensure timely and accurate collection of laboratory specimens consistent with federal and state regulations.
• Timely review, posting, and dissemination of laboratory results.
• Complete timely and comprehensive documentation into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Maintain new and existing patient accounts, including insurance and billing information.
