Job summary

Cowlitz Family Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in examinations and treatments, room patients, take vitals, and assist with minor procedures. You will work under the direction of a medical provider and collaborate with Physicians/ARNP or RN to ensure compassionate patient care.

The ideal candidate has WA MA certification, BLS/CPR, and a background in medical terminology and office procedures. Spanish-English bilingual abilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• WA State Medical Assistant Certification required.
• BLS/CPR certification required upon hire.
• High school diploma plus completion of a medical assisting program; associate degree preferred.
• 1–4 years of MA experience preferred.
• Proficient in medical terminology and office procedures.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn in-house programs including EHR.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment under direction of a medical provider.
• Assist Physician/ARNP or RN with direct patient care.
• Administer injections, room patients, take vitals, record chief complaints, and assist with minor surgeries/procedures.
• Interact regularly with patients and staff in the clinic setting.
• Demonstrate a friendly, service-focused approach and remain calm under pressure.
