Job summary

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, MA program completion, and (preferred) MA certifications. BLS is required or to be obtained within 3 months. The successful candidate will communicate well with patients and staff in a patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• NRCMA, RMA, CMA, NCMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• Relevant healthcare experience may be considered in place of certification.
• BLS certification required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for medical examinations and treatments.
• Obtain and document vital signs and medical and social histories.
• Assist healthcare providers with examinations and treatments.
• Enter accurate clinical information into the electronic health record.
• Administer medications and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Provide professional and compassionate support to patients, visitors, and staff.
