Job summary

Mountain View Hospital seeks a friendly Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient care and clerical duties. You will schedule appointments, manage charts, collect samples, and relay information to patients, ensuring a welcoming clinic environment.

Responsibilities include processing tests, entering orders, and delivering excellent service to patients, doctors and staff. BLS certification and a GED are required; phlebotomy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required for the role.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CMA course preferred but not required.
• Phlebotomy course and phlebotomy experience are desirable.
• Experience with computers and office equipment is required.
• Must read and communicate effectively in English; bilingual is a plus; understand medical terminology.
• General Math skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with patient care and related clerical tasks.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient charts.
• Collect and process routine testing and return results to doctor.
• Enter doctor’s orders and data into systems.
• Provide information to patients to help them utilize clinic services.
• Convey a positive image of the clinic and provide excellent customer service on the phone.
