Job summary

Mercy seeks a Medical Assistant to support providers in an outpatient clinic, delivering direct and indirect patient care with professionalism. You will help with procedures, documentation, and administrative tasks to maintain smooth daily operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, MA Clinic Academy training, and EHR proficiency. Experience in ambulatory care and BLS certification for some departments is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification may be required for some departments.
• One year of outpatient or ambulatory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with direct patient care in an outpatient setting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting.
• Provide administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Support clinic workflows and use protective PPE as needed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of outpatient procedures and equipment.
