Job summary

Desert Valley Medical Group in California is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient care, clerical duties, and clinic operations. You will help schedule appointments, manage patient charts, and ensure smooth front-line service in a busy outpatient setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a Medical Assistant certification (preferred), and current BLS. Prior health-care experience is a plus and this is a full-time daytime position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• Minimum one year work experience in public contact job.
• Work experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks.
• Appointment scheduling and chart management.
• Provides Information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services.
• Conveys a positive image of organization.

Education
