UPMC is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support our clinical team and enhance the patient experience. You will assist with patient intake, vital signs, exam room setup, documentation, and a range of clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Under physician supervision, you will perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and vaccines, while maintaining strict confidentiality and following OSHA/CLIA guidelines.

Formación

• Compassionate and dependable Medical Assistant.
• Experience with patient intake, vital signs, and exam room preparation.
• Ability to assist with phlebotomy, EKGs, vaccines, and clinical procedures.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

Responsabilidades

• HIPAA-compliant handling of patient records and information.
• Obtain lab/x-ray reports, referrals, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and manage charts.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms; ensure infection control and restock supplies.
• Assist with patient flow, vitals, history, and education per provider guidelines.
• Answer calls and provide patient information as directed.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic labs; document results in medical records.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health and confidentiality.
• Under supervision, administer injectable medications and vaccines when appropriate.
